Word Analogy Practice MCQs

Civil Service Exam Professional reviewer with more word analogies: creator and work, group names, tools and users, part and whole, degree and opposites, each with the relationship explained.

20 MCQsUpdated 3 November 2026

Word analogy is the first item in the official Analytical Ability scope of the Civil Service Exam Professional level. This second set gives more practice with the relationships examiners use most often: creator and creation, animal and group, condition and remedy, part and whole, unit and larger unit, mild and strong forms, and opposites.

Before reading the options, put the first pair's relationship into a short sentence, such as "An author writes a book." Then test each option with the same sentence. Only one should fit exactly; the others will be related to the words in a different way.
