20 MCQsUpdated 3 November 2026

Article X of the Constitution promises local autonomy, and the Local Government Code of 1991 (RA 7160) puts it into practice. This set covers the levels of local government and the requirements for creating them, local officials and their councils, the barangay assembly, the Katarungang Pambarangay system for settling disputes, the Sangguniang Kabataan, and how local ordinances are made.

Many questions ask "who presides?", "how many members?" or "what is the minimum population or income?". Learn the barangay first, since most civil servants deal with it directly, then the requirements for municipalities, cities and provinces.
