Beyond the three branches of government, the Civil Service Exam often asks about the principles and policies of the State in Article II and the rules on local government in Article X. This set also covers selected provisions on the national economy and patrimony, education, and social justice that appear regularly in General Information questions.

Many items quote the Constitution directly, so pay attention to key phrases such as "sovereignty resides in the people" or "civilian authority is, at all times, supreme over the military". The explanations show where each phrase comes from.
